Municipal Energy Units in Reggio Emilia - CO2 estimated

This dataset has been generated in the context of GeoSmartCity project by the Municipality of Reggio nell'Emilia, based on different background data sources already available in the Municipality itself or from other external authoritative sources. The Municipal Energy Units correspond to more than 100 buildings or building parts used by the Municipality of Reggio-Emilia and where the Municipality pays energy bills; data about CO2 have been estimated on the basis of actual consumptions of Municipal Energy Units, in relation to the type of fuel (electricity, gas, district heating, diesel fuel or LPG).

Lineage The footprints of buildings is partially based on the Municipal Register of Buildings (Anagrafe Comunale Immobili) with ad hoc editing performed by the Environmental Department of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.Data about consumption (electricity, gas, district heating) have been multiplied by the correspondent Emission Factors (e.g. 1 kWh electricity equal 370 gr. CO2) and the summarized at building level.
